I have Premium with Sync, how do I recover my data?

Go to the "Accounts" screen, tap the gear icon (Settings) at the top left, then Sign In. Under Account make sure you see your account name otherwise you'll need to sign back in using Sign In With Existing Account > Replace Data With Cloud Data (only if given the option).

I have Premium with Backup, how do I recover my data?

Go to the "Accounts" screen, tap the gear icon (Settings) at the top left, then Sign In. Under Account make sure you see your account name otherwise you'll need to sign back in using Sign In With Existing Account > Replace Data With Cloud Data (only if given the option).

I don’t have a subscription, how do I recover my data?

If you're not a subscriber there are two other ways to recover your data. From an app backup or an entire backup of the phone.

Restore from an app backup:

Start the Mail app, open email with the subject “Balance My Checkbook Backup”, tap on the backup file below, tap on the action button at the top right (box with arrow pointing up) then "Copy to BalanceCheck".

Restore the entire phone:

If you had backup for your phone setup you can restore your entire phone. Please note the date of the backup since this will replace ALL data on your phone with data from the backup. Here are instructions to restore your entire phone: https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht204184

I also recommend backing up app data regularly by going to the "Accounts" screen, tap the gear icon (Settings) at the top left, then Backup Data.
